More Words of Wisdom from Steve Jobs

by Scott Edward Walker on October 28th, 2017

To Our Clients & Friends: Welcome to our weekly series “Helping Entrepreneurs Succeed.”  Each week, we post a short video clip of a successful entrepreneur, investor or business leader on a variety of topics.  This week, we present some old, rare footage of Steve Jobs, who discusses the history of Apple and shares some solid nuggets for founders, including the following:

  • “Our whole company – our whole philosophical base – is founded on one principle: [that] there’s some very special and very historically difference that takes place when you have one computer and one person.” (at 10:03)
  • “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” (starting at 15:03)
  • “Yesterday’s software is today’s hardware.” (starting at 17:35)
  • “For some crazy reason in the universe, two people from Los Altos and Cupertino California managed to want something… that a million other people wanted.” (at 19:19)
  • “We attract people on the basis of an opportunity to work your butt off and get something done right and [get] it out the door without getting all screwed-up…” (starting at 21:57)

I hope you enjoy it.  Cheers, Scott
