Daniel H. Chakrin has 10+ years of sophisticated corporate law experience, including nearly five years at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and 2+ years at Schulte Roth & Zabel, LLP in New York City. Daniel also has a strong accounting background, having spent two years as a certified public accountant at Deloitte & Touche, LLP prior to attending law school (and having concentrated in Accounting and Entrepreneurial Management at the Wharton School of Business).
Daniel has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, public and private financings, corporate governance matters and securities law matters, including the preparation of SEC filings. He has represented issuers in connection with high-yield offerings and exchange offers and investors in connection with PIPE transactions. He also has substantial experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of corporate agreements.
Daniel graduated from (i) University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business (B.S. in Economics, cum laude), where he was a Joseph Wharton Scholar and Benjamin Franklin Scholar; and (ii) New York University School of Law (J.D., cum laude). He is a member of the New York Bar and is Of Counsel to the firm.
